Lame duck....

So lets look back in to history for a little bit. The country really started moving towards the civil war long before Lincoln was in office. In fact, during the last term of the 15th president it was quite obvious what was happening. However, he did nothing about it. He just sat back and kinda let things happen. He waited until the next president took office, figuring that he didnt need to do anything in his last little bit.

Sometimes I fear that I have elements of that in my character. I just kinda sit around sometimes and let the slow decay of time deal with the issues in my life. I suppose that is not a good thing, but what can I say? I'm working on it.
