Tyranny...
I havnt written as much as I used to, and I suppose I am the only person to blame for that. It isnt because the inspiration isnt there. I get thoughts all the time about things that I would love to write about, I guess I just never really get around to it. I will work on that, however, most of this month will be spent at sea.
It's truly scary when one steps back and looks at where the power lies in this country. Sure, we like to tell ourselves that the people hold all the power. Afterall, that was our very basic founding principal. However, its not true. Money for the most part is power. As much as an idealistic chap like me would like to argue otherwise, that is simply the case. The rich in this country hold a stranglehold over the rest, to such an extent that it is almost sick. The government does nothing to stop this, mainly because these people are also the government.
Im not a crying liberal that is going to make the argument that rich people are bad, for I believe quite the contrary to be true. I will just say that I think it is a sad day that the people of America are so apathetic that they have let the country reach this point. It is often quoted that bad things happen only when good people do nothing to stop it. Well that is exactly what is happening here. Americans have let their apathy take hold, and that above almost anything else is one of the gravest threats to our entire way of life. I only hope that when my generation comes of age they put a stop to this dangerous trend before it is to late.
